The competition part between Lucifer and Alastor was more just shown if you looked at how the other was reacting while the one was talking. It gave a hint of Alastor wanting to be the most powerful being in the room, creating a rivalry not just for Charlie but also Alastor wanting to prove something that Lucifer doesn't realize is there at first. Alastor standing beside the door, his greeting to Lucifer and the insults. He was trying for a power-play to show he's better in any way than Lucifer is. Petty but I'm curious to see how that goes.

I'm surprised I don't see many comments attacking people for enjoying the show. As someone who loves the show even though I am aware that it has poor pacing weird characters and alot of pandering, but I love it regardless. I personally believe the pacing can be fixed by having the same episode release format as other indie shows, so it kind of works with real time and feels less rushed
