I really hope we get a Pike spin-off, I'd buy that for a dollar.

From the description of enterprise problems and from the now clear view of the red angel, I'm 100 confident the red angel is an Iconian.

You and Samuel compliment each other. You guys work well together. Keep up the great work. I am sure everyone appreciates what you do.

You and Samuel balance each other in a way.... Each bring value to the totality.

A phenomenal episode of Trek!

Loved the character development for Saru, Jett, and even Linus.

Great video, Cap'n!

I, too, appreciate the balanced approach you guys take to reviewing the episodes. Also, you are brave to talk freely about your depression; it's cool that you share with the community.

Keep up the good work!!

(Im'a need y'all to ease up on my boy Samuel though!! 😉)

With some people referring to the language as English and some as Federation Standard I just took this as two words for same thing. Different people use different words for it. Sort of like some Americans (wrongly) call it “American”

turns out I was almost right about the damage to enterprise.
I thought the cascade started in the sensors, but it turned out to be the holographic communication system.

This has to be the first episode in the entire series to finally grab my attention. Been hate-watching the previous episodes.

Great episode all around, IMO. Great sci-fi, great Trek. The Saru development was great. The explanation they've come up with for shutting down the Myceniall (?) aka Mushroom network is good too. The one for explaining why TOS didn't have holograms isn't bad either. Does the job. Good character development of the Saurian (?), and No.1 also had a good introduction.

I thought it was pretty good. Glad to finally find out why we never see holocommunication systems during the 2260s.

So here's a fun question... small nitpick. In the scene where Pike and Number One talk about Spock, they walk up to the replicators yet only number one orders. But the computer synthesizes a coffee. Pike doesn't even look at the computer panel. Howwww?

I thought Saru dying was CBS' way of correcting their mistakes:there are no Kelpians in TOS because they are primitive and the only one in Starfleet died. Also Mikey was raised by Vulcans who taught her not to show emotions she sure as hell shows a lot.
