Small Shop Dust Collection Cart on a Budget

How I made my version of the popular rolling dust collection cart using a Ridgid shop vac and Dustopper cyclone separator. This very easy and relatively cheap dust collection solution is perfect for the DIYer, beginner woodworker, or even just the average homeowner with dust collection needs on a budget.

The cyclone almost eliminates changing the filter as long as you don't overfill the bucket. I also wrap my filter with a layer of paper towels. Toss the paper towels if/ when they get dirty and the filter lasts forever. Great video.

Great video thanks for sharing. What dust system do you have in your shop now?

Great video! Beginner here. Subscribed! I was working on trying to build 2 x 4 wood cart with my NXT Rigid Vacuum with Heppa filter prior to watching your video. Not figured it out yet. Cant find those PVC tubes (except schedule 40), caps, & coupling inserts locally around here in small community London Ky. Where did you buy your PVC? Keep your great videos coming. Thanks for your help!

I have a RYOBI cordless vac 5 gal topper and I bought the Dustopper Pro, but I also bought a aftermarket 5-Gallon bucket rolling base. Problem is base is really for a carwash system. it has 4 holes, but only 2 hold a 2" PVC fitting, the other two are oblong (3.5"X 4"). Appreciate any thoughts?? LS
