I really feel for Edward in this scene, he had absolutely every right to be angry at Jacob for basically assaulting his girlfriend. Kissing someone forcefully/without their consent IS assault. He wasn’t being possessive, he was protecting her just as any boyfriend would in that scenario, every boyfriend should react that way if any guy does that to his girlfriend.

I fell more in love with Edward during this scene than I already was throughout the movies. He had every right to be pissed and protective of Bella which was refreshing to see since his reaction in the book is much more passive.
