If I remember correctly the screaming bang is a community joke. Look it up the short comic is historical funny from beginning to end. The one the actually happen was a space marine pick Ork weapon in panic. The weapon broke and it makes a click click sound because it was an Ork gun. But when the enemy ork saw it it shot at him because he believed it should work. Again I'm going by memory and could be wrong.

There's more to the first story. After 20 or so orks died, a guradsman saw a group of orks and 'shot' them, but nothing happened. As the orks got closer they realized that it was 4 orks carrying a 5th while saying "Imma tank! Imma tank! Imma tank!"

Best one was from the Prophets of the Waagh, where a Blood Axe was decapitated with his own axe, and after telling this to another ork, the ork asked how is the Blood Axe talking with no lungs and such, and the Blood Axe’s head immediatly died after realizing the fact.

To add some clarification on how this really works. Waaagh energy increases in conjunction with greenskins present. This reality warping field doesn't allow the impossible to be possible in all aspects. It's more of a casual nudge.

They cannot simple pick up a stick and make it a gun, however, a wartrukk full of boys with a nob leader leave camp to find a scrap. However, part way through their journey they run low on gas, the boys confused and upset turn to the mob leader. The nob leader smacks one of them and says they're mucking about, he clearly filled the tank before they left so there is no way they're low on gas. The boys, having been told by their leader they have gas, and their leader just established his authority by being the biggest and smacking his subordinate, believe they have enough gas to reach the battlefield as the WAAAAGH field allows the tiny amount of fuel they have left to get them to the battlefield.

Also, it is believed they cannot effect other races and the effect is ork specific. IE the blood angels space marines (who have red as their main color) were chasing some orks, however, the ork ship was faster. However, one ork noticed the space marine ship was red. As red is the fastest color the Blood Angels began to gain on them. This wasn't because they made them faster, but instead the orks field slowed them down so it appeared the space marine ship was moving faster.

Fascinating creatures, and we don't know the absurdity Krorks got up to, but considering the war in heaven, they likely were reality warping primorks that could will things into existence to compete with the factions back then.
