In the nineties I was in a car strung out on drugs listening to this song just barely hanging on . Today I’m 16 years clean, married with a bunch of kids, house, business, and peace in my heart. Don’t give up, Jesus will make a way!

When I was younger, I remember people bashing Creed for being a "Christian rock band" like it was something lame, but this is still one of the most powerful songs I've ever heard, even decades later.

Stuck in the corporate world now for 10+ years. I’m 35 and see no escape. Kinda just want to sell my house and just live life instead of staying trapped until my time expires on this earth.

I was a senior in high school when this came out ! 40yrs old now and this still rocks . I remember barn fires, stitting on the back of a tail gate drinking a few beers with friends with out a care in the world. Man has time changed all that

Not many bands possess the soul and talent to create a beautiful sound such as Creed can. They do and always will remain awesome to me.

This is what I call "timeless" music. It's 2020 and I can relate to their music more than ever!

This is my favorite Creed song. When it gets to the part about Gabriel standing, it always makes me cry. Gabriel the archangel is a messenger, and appeared in the Old and New testaments. For instance he was the angel who appeared to Mary, to tell of her giving birth to Jesus. So to hear that part of the song takes on a particularly heartbreaking message that is so final.

Sounds so innocent and dark at the same time.. creed is such a talented band, i don't get why people dislike them so much....

Anyone that just stumbles upon this song, lit I'm glad you found good music. For those that know it and looked it up I'm sorry for what you've been through. Merry Creedmas.

My cousin passed away last week. He struggled with everything that happened to him. This year was the hardest for him and yet he didn’t make it. I wish drugs never existed. I’ll miss him.

I can relate to this song so much! Reminds me when I was caught up in addiction to drugs and alcohol. Been sober for 7 years.

This brings back memories of me and my dad back in South Georgia, we’ve never really had the best relationship but the one thing that always connects us is our love for the music that we listened to when we were together. I’ll always have a soft spot for creed because of that. Thank you 💔

Being ten when this came out jamming looking for answers during my brothers open heart surgeries. Molded me to the man I am today. Wisdom and truth in lyrics can truly teach you life lessons
