I had this album when it was new. It has aged well. The sound is full heavy, powerful, Gritty and thick, While still having vulnerability, and honesty .Its better than i remember. The 90s was awesome..long live the 90s

I remember this was the last song I sang with my “band” back in early 2000’s. We played a little bar across the street from Flora-Bama. The wind was blowing at night, we were out on a deck and there was a little rain coming down. 1 guy dressed in a 3 piece suit with hair slicked back, sat in the front row by himself watching us. He was the only audience member, no joke 😂. When the last chorus kicked it in, he stood up and started head banging, hard! Was insane but so freaking awesome! We finished, he walked over to me and handed me 4 $100 bills and said “Creed- Torn and STP- Dead and Bloated were two best covers I’ve ever heard. Thank you.” Calmly, shook my hand and pretty much vanished. Unfortunately, that was the end of my “singing career”, we just lost touched after that night. I thought he may of been a sign of good things to come…nope 😂.
Great memories though 😎🤘🏻
I don’t know why I shared this.

I never was a huge Creed fan but this album is a masterpiece. Mark Tremonti is a very underrated guitarist.

This album SMOKES. It's heavy, intelligent, and groovy. The guitars chug. And the rhythm section has punch and balls.

At 31 years old, time has definitely increased how badass this album is.

This song is so damn good! In the early nineties I was busy with Nirvana, Soundgarden, screaming trees, mudhoney and the like.... And a little later on in 1997 I kind of dismissed this band... But now, listening to it again, this first album is a

Just the opening alone gives me goosebumps. Such a bad ass riff accompanied by a bass from a nother realm.

Stapp grew up one street over from me when I was a kid, he was about 5 yrs younger than me, so didn't hang out with him much. His father is still a practicing dentist here in FL, I service his ac at his office. This album blew me away when it came out, saw them live in Orlando before the album really blew up...
