Ever wondered if a wheel’s stiffness can affect camber or how rotational inertia plays into vehicle response? Eddie from Titan 7 explains their commitment to minimizing deflection, reducing tire creep, and designing spokes that strike the perfect harmony between strength and aesthetics.

Big thanks to Eddie and the JDM Yard team for giving us the inside scoop on what makes aftermarket wheels stand out during the World Time Attack Challenge

Whether you’re an engineer, racer, or just someone who appreciates top-tier wheel design, this breakdown of Titan 7’s strategy is for you.

Im pretty sure a few of these retailers are using the manufacturer in China. They're exact in logo style, ribs, and forge methods.

Suspension geometry changes is the main issue mentioned here . In other words altering the scrub radius.
Especially when people go for the bad boy deep dish look .
Even more noticeable on FWD where torture steer can be induced.

Just looked up Skyline fitment. 18x10.5 on an R32 is pretty up there, are there any plans to offer smaller fitments for street use? 18x9 +22 say?

@2:41 What diffusers are those? Are they available off the shelf?

What i would like to see is a wheel company that can structurally repair a wheel back to like new condition. Sometimes you buy some wheels that's been discontinued and the seller wasn't honest about the warpage or damage to the wheels. Now you paid for wheels that vibrate or have a rumble etc.

Aftermarket wheels are great but making sure people fit them correctly with the correct wheel/lug nuts, using a tyre/ wheel calculator to make sure clearances, rolling radiuses etc
Do your homework and fit them correctly

I went to my local Beaurepaire, not only did these clowns scrape my rims, they...

1. fitted my staggered wheels in such a manner that I had 4 different wheel setups on my car - one smaller tire on back rim and rubber for a back wheel on one of the fronts! How is that even possible?
2. put my rear wheel spacers on the front WITH the standard lugs, which I managed to pull them up about as they were doing it
3. did not align the dots correctly
4. tried to tell me they did nothing wrong.
5. offered to wash my car as compensation, they could have killed me!

Never take your pride and joy to Beaurepaires.

That weight on the forging press thing is 10, 000 tonnes? Is it not 10, 000lbs? I would have thoight 10, 000 tonnes would look a bit bigger. Or is there another aspect of the construction that involves 10, 000 tonnes?

As usual with every newer wheel company all their wheels look like copies of wheels from the 80/90's from BBS etc. They are literally not reinventing the wheel.
