The problem Journey had/has isn’t just replacing a “lead singer”, like other bands can. Steve’s voice was iconic and he wrote songs for his voice. He could sing and bring you into the song with him. Many of us remember Journey’s songs and can remember the memory of that point in our lives when we heard it, and how we felt. And another “lead singer”, no matter how good they are, just can’t replace the full package. There will always be “something missing”.
