I used to break down the year, month, and days.. But finally, I end up with nothing. Kind a shock actually, the solution you shared could not be any simpler from this. Thanks again 🙏

Hi Mike.. great tips.. +0, --, DATEVALUE.. super!
Here's another: =VALUE(RIGHT(B4, 9))
..and if you really want to over do it: =VALUE(LEFT(RIGHT(B4, 9), 2) & "-" & MID(RIGHT(B4, 9), 3, 3) & "-" & RIGHT(RIGHT(B4, 9), 4)) - I think this qualifies as a "silly" formula.. haha!!
Thanks for all the great inspiration to test and create. Thumbs up!

What?!... a trivial math op on a piece of text like that will do the trick?
How come I struggled so much on text-dates in the past?
Great set of tricks, right here.

I always like the bonus formulas. In this case the ....VALUE formulas are too often overlooked and too rarely taught.

Hi Mike, at 0:49 SS just press CONTROL+SHIFT+3 combination; which converts the date in the format user has defined viz MMDDYY or DDMMYY as the case may be.. wonderful video :)

Great tricks, Mike! If the # of characters of the dates differs (eg., 04March2019, 31Jan2019, 29February2024), would you recommend using "LEN" as part of your formula? e.g., = RIGHT(C4, LEN(C4)-4)+0
