This is helpful! Can we do this in reverse? e.g., we have a report with “start date” and “end date” on each column, is that possible to break it down into the format just as your original dataset?

Thank you so much for all of your videos. I am trying to learn a way to determine monthly totals if I have a list a list of customers, their monthly fixed amount and their start and end dates. The query would have to add their monthly amount only to each month's tally, only if the month being tallied falls between the start date listed in one column and the end date listed in another column. If there is no end date, they are still an active customer and would be tallied up and including the current month. Have you done any videos that describe how to set up such a tally?

Thanks a lot for your videos. My issue is: i have 2 columns. In the first i have number 1 which is January first month, and in the second column i have 2021. I want to create a third column in which I want to have the full date : 31.01.2021. Same for number 2 which is February. How to do it ?

Hi! Thank you for this tutorial! How can I use power query to give me all the dates before the prior year. For example, I need all the lines that have a date before 1/1/2023

Hi Mynda, if we have a situation where format is month/date and year is not mentioned. Need to check if this date is 7 days old from current date...can you help in building logic.

Hi, your videos are worth watching. I have a real scenario and want to get your guidance.

I am a SAP user, I receive more than 200 claims/month and same are approved by different person in following way,
Approver 1 receive claim SAP shows status 900, and when he approves it show status as 50 or 68. After first approver, it flows to 2nd approver and shows status as900 and if 2nd approver is on leave then it flows to back up approver showing status as 900 untill claim reaches final approver and when it finally approved it shows status as 70

So for each claim lot of duplicates showing status 50, 68 and 900
My manager asked me to write in column angainst each claim approver name and how much time taken by each for approving

Date of receiving/approving is mentioned in
SAP, please guide how to do

when i expand the list.. i don't get the missing dates as null. The Dates column becomes the same as the list date.
