Very good, thanks - I've been meaning to complete Portal properly for years and now I am! On the 2nd radio in chamber 15, I actually got stuck in the area behind the sliding doors, and Glados let me out through a secret hatch!

@9:00 - FYI - getting back out before the doors close in not necessary because the game opens a trap door for you, if you get stuck in the room.

Great guide overall.

FOR ANYONE STUCK ON CHAMBER 18 SPEED RUN LIKE I WAS:

1. Get to the turret room as quick as possible, being sure to place a blue portal above the door
2. in the turret room, use an orange portal to knock to camera off the wall
3. Place another orange portal on the floor and bring the camera back to the door
4. Use the camera to jam the door open like we did on the least steps and least portals achievements
5. Portal through the jammed door and clear as normal

I was consistently getting 1:13-1:14 and got a 1:04 my first time jamming the door

For the terminal velocity, you need to fall down about 4-5min because is 30 000 feet

You (Intro to Chamber 15 Steps): "I did it in 44, so you have a lot of wiggle room with this one."
Me: "Don't look at me, I finished with exactly what was needed!" (And I was holding my breath as I stepped into the elevator!)
Thanks a lot for the help. I might finally get those last three achievements! I did Chambers 13-15 tonight (steps and time), I might do 16, 17 and 18 tomorrow.

I don't know why this isn't mentioned more, but abusing the quick save / load feature is what really helped me with the challenge maps
I bound the save load to tab, so when needing to make a skilled throw or jump, I could easily go to a safe state and retry if needed

25:20 you move a really far distance without taking any steps. When you land from a portal it counts as a step, so how did you do this?
