It’s everyone favourite day to enjoy some delicious sweet jalebis and I can’t wait for you all to make this recipe for your family! This step-by-step guide is easy to follow and gives you that perfect jalebi swirl, its golden, crispy, and irresistibly sweet ❤️❤️
Here’s how you make some warm and delicious Jalebi at home for the festive season ☺️
Ingredients:
Sugar - 1.5 Cups
Water - 1 Cup
Cardamom - 3 Pods
Saffron - a Pinch
Lime Juice - 2 Tsps
Food Color - 3-4 Drops
Maida/ AP Flour - 1 Cup
Ghee - 1 Tbsp
Curd - 2 Tbsps
Water - as Req (3/4th Cup - 1 Cup)
Eno - 1 Pack
Salt - a Pinch
Process :
* For the batter, start by rubbing flour with some ghee until it’s crumbly
* Add in some curd, a pinch of salt & some water to form a smooth-lump free batter - cover & let it rest for 10-15 minutes
* Meanwhile, to make the sugar syrup - heat up some sugar and water on medium heat
* Add in the crushed cardamom pods along with the lime juice & cook the syrup until it reaches a 1 string consistency
* Add in the food color and mix it in - keep the syrup aside for later
* Heat up oil for frying on the side - bring the temperature to 325F (ideal for frying)
* Once the batter has rested for 15 mins, add in a pack of eno along with some water & mix it in immediately
* Transfer the flowy batter to a piping bag and pipe the jalebis straight into the hot oil kept for frying
* Fry on medium low heat until crispy and immediately dip into the sugar syrup
* Repeat the same process with the rest of the batter to form the most crispiest and juiciest Jalebis
* Garnish the Jalebis with some silver vark & chopped pistachios - Serve & Enjoy ✨♥️
