Jalebi Recipe | Instant Jalebi Recipe

It is a sweet snack popular all over south & western Asia.It is a fried pretzel soaked in sugar syrup.

INGREDIENTS

For Batter
1 tsp yeast (any)
1 tsp sugar
1/4 cup water ( if you are using active dry yeast then you need water)
1 cup Flour
1 tsp corn starch
2 tbsp yogurt
1 tbsp oil
1/2 cup water
(Total water used in this recipe is 3/4 cup)

For Syrup
.............
2 cups water
2 and 1/2 cup sugar
1 cardamom
1 tsp Lemon juice
Sugar syrup should be 1 thread thick consistency and should be warm when you add Jalebi in it .
Add jalebi in syrup immediately after frying and dip it with a fork or spoon so that it can absorb syrup quickly. Keep it in syrup for a minute only then take it out and serve .

Tips :
⏺The most important part of making Jalebi at home is to have the right consistency of your Jalebi batter. It should not be too thin or thick. Make sure your batter is of flowing consistency.
⏺While frying the Jalebis, make sure the flame is on low. High heat will leave it uncooked from the inside.
