Met a high end jewelry thief with a crew of 4. He planned to eventually get caught so he saved a few million to pay for a lawyer, court costs and fines. He paid a few million in fines and 1yr in jail(time served) and was released. You can literally buy your way out of jail if the legal system gets paid( there cut). And I’m not making this up. I was in Pinellas County Jail in FL when I met this man. He had photos and he was in the newspapers…I checked. He wasn’t lying. 1st time I got an education on being a thief🙂

The money was packaged in a way that they really didn't need a Uhaul.
Plus putting the Uhaul in there own name. 2 mistakes right off the bat. A professional team wood have been able to pull that off considering the amount of money that was there it was an easy Heist. A stolen car would have been the way to go or Old work van. What a shame.

The moment they mentioned they RENTED the van I knew that's how they would get caught. However I never expected them to be stupid enough to rent it themselves, I would have atleast expected them to have a relative with a different surname do it.

Rookie mistake for sure. If you somehow pull off a heist like this DO NOT pay for any expensive item like a car or house with cash. Not a bright move at all.

All it takes is one simple mistake to let it all out into the open. Chances of that happen more when you have so many people involved. It’s always better to have the minimum of people. By yourself is the best. Hopefully if your smart too! That helps!
