5 Steps/Ways to Teach Your Brain There's No True Danger or Threat

The brain, your most powerful organ can kick out any symptom (sensation) when it feels under threat or in danger. It can do this by itself when there is not a single thing wrong in the body or when the body part is not even there! Take an amputee for example who has phantom limb pain. How can an amputee feel disabling or crippling pain and discomfort in a limb that is no longer there? This is the most powerful example of how the brain, not the body (remember there's no limb anymore) can produce painful sensations or what I call BS (Brain Sensations).

The brain does this because it feels threatened or in danger when you have lost one of your limbs. The very same thing can happen anywhere in your body if your brain feels threatened or in danger- and it can feel threatened or in danger over many things- even when we consciously know these things are not truly dangerous.

Our goal in healing and feeling better is decipher and distinguish if there IS any real or true danger or threat to us happening NOW. When there is not, we need to teach the brain that we are indeed safe and under no threat. I lay out here in this video 5 steps or 5 ways we can use daily to teach and show our brains we really are OK.

After 50 years of abuse it would take a miracle. With God anything is possible. I have lived in fear 70 years. Childhood trauma and marriage. This really can be done with HIS help when you no longer have the threat going on

This is so true. The brain is a computer and after years of continuous pattern the brain believes that is normal so it releases chemicals in order to survive and won't stop even after the situation has changed, it is doing its job and a good job at it!! Brain has to know thats not what we are doing now that we can survive with out all that cortisol
being released or needing chaos to justify it.❤

I'm in a loop. I Relax, accept, breath and end up falling asleep only to be jolted back awake by cortisol .

Hi Jim,
First of all thank you for this great video, I already feel a little bit better today thanks to this video. While watching it I had a lot of "aha-moments" and "that could be me" throughts.

Still I would like to know if I can adapt these steps to my symptoms fatigue, exhaustion and brain fog as well? I suffer from chronical fatigue (since August 2024), exhaustion, massive brain fog, POTS and MCAS and depression due to these conditions. All since August 2024.

I have been in a Flight or Fight Survival mode for 19 months now, after I got chronical sick with reflux. But the real crash came when I got sick in July 2024 with a normal virus infection, after that the above mentioned symptoms started.

The last few days I have learnt on Youtube that it is possible to rewire the brain, to stop the Fight or Flight mode.

This video was another great help on my way to get out of my negative thoughts.
I will watch more of your videos and watch this particular one every day to remind myself of what I am capable of, which I never thought would be possible again.

Today I even started doing some music again, for the first time since July 2024, which I wouldn't have thought being able to do without your video.

I hope I keep being strong, because I weak up every morning being scared for another day of suffering, but now I feel a little bit more confident, that I can make it❤

The most difficult part is accepting for me and trusting myself that I can make it. I feel mad with my brain doing this to me, but I understand, that I did this to my brain, so it's not my brain's fault. But not mine either, because I didn't choose to think so negative. I have just never learned how to treat my general fears that I have had my whole life actually. Thanks to videos like this I have hope again, although I feel sicker than I have never been in my entire life ❤.

Thanks Jim, a thing I recently heard is drinking water can help trigger the parasympathetic nervous system, I've been self sabotaging and not drinking enough until yesterday, immediately started feeling more energy, happier and hungry. Just wanted to share that.

Thank you Jim for your work. My problem is mainly with hypervigilance and resistance. I'm unconsciously drift after some time in those states. It's like a magnet. I hope my brain reads the memo soon. I do daily your "relax, don't resist or react" video.

I have Cptsd from childhood trauma. What was initially chronic anxiety has become CFS and even what seems to potentially be Crohn’s disease but I don’t believe in these labels, I think it’s related to trauma, emotions, a lack of safety and inner peace

That's just it. The proof is in the intensity of the sensations. As I watch this video my sensations get worse and more are "discovered." I understand it. It's almost as if there is a great disconnect between my logical brain and my subconscious.

The "irony" for me is that when I'm depressed, suicide seems like the only way out. When I'm having an anxiety attack, which sometimes seems to last for days, I'm scared of dying.

I'm done living my life like this and am DESPERATE for a solution. I'm at the point of trying alternatives such as Ketamine or magic mushrooms. Mental illness has stolen my life from me.

my pain has gone from back, to head, to groin, to breast, and now to a numb tingling arm... I have been working on tms method 5 years.. but it keeps cycling. Because my anxious brain will say oh well its hormonal.. oh it's this, it's that.. exhausted and need help. Emergency room x3 in the last few months. 😢❤
