gsync is what made me hate nvidia more than anything. You are forced to pay a few hundred extra because fucking nvidia. Freesync should have been the standard. I also am saying this as a 970 owner.

GTX 1070 and 1080 has DP1.4. so they can run this at least 120 hz in 4k.

Linus: there are a lot of VGAs that support DP1.4! All the actual gaming-oriented lineup of GTX graphic cards have DP1.4 support from the GTX 1050 all the way up to the Titan XP, and all the RX4xx AMD graphic card officially support DP1.4 with HDR. It is mentioned on Nvidia and AMD sites in the spec sheet page
