I completely agree with what Faisal bhai said, I’ve owned 2nd gen vtec plus city and 3rd gen city and now a 2020 jazz. They make such brilliant cars what I don’t know why they are not able to make good decisions For our market. There’s no other budget car company which gives such a brilliant steering Feel and that vtec enjoy joy. I’m really hoping they don’t mess up the upcoming elevate suv in terms of pricing or inadequate feature list. Honda makes really good cars it’s just they don’t know how to sell them. I hope they won’t end in the situation where Ford Chevrolet Mitsubishi ended.

I am driving civic since almost 8+ years and it's the best car we got so far. Never faced any breakdown or any jerk ever. It still drives like a new one. Never faced any tech issues even touched 1 lakh kms.

very well explained . Sad to see a brand with such a history and global recognition is failing in Indian market. Hope this video reaches Honda representatives and somehow they find a way to get out of this situation so that we will not end up loosing another brand just like FORD .

I think main problem is the profitability. Indian market is quite different and price sensitive so making cars specific to it seeks extra investment. Moreover weird taxation rules makes it near impossible to sold international models in india at reasonable price. So how did Hyundai and kia able to cracked it? well they do cost cuttings in platform itself to keep price in check.

Good video and well explained. It's the very similar situation here in South Africa with Honda. Sales have fallen flat, and there's not much excitement for the brand. With the rapid rise of Chinese brands in our market too, they're pushed further down the bottom. It wouldn't surprise me if they shut down operations in South Africa....

I still remember the times when Honda was the 3rd most selling car brand in India. first and second being Maruti and Hyundai ofc.

I have a 2016 BR-V (diesel).
I am about to reach 1, 50, 000 km any day now. Personally I feel it is the most practical car I have driven. It has a massive boot, 210mm ground clearance and it has given me the maximum milage of 23kmpl (average is about 18kmpl)
And its very comfortable.

Loved the case study, Faisal.
On a lighter note, when failure at Indian market gets discussed at Honda leadership, they would play your video.

All the late 90s and 2000s flashed in front of my eyes while watching this video. Thanks Faisal, would appreciate similar car company journey videos on other brands too.
