Pastor Doug Wilson is already framing this issue incorrect.

The first thing that happened was that Pastor Tobias shared this meme with Doug Wilson and James White. And Doug Wilson and James White wrote about it and podcasted about it.

Then, the meeting happened, after the meeting, Joel Webbon thought it was over.

Pastor Tobias proceeded to go on multiple podcasts (2) to talk about the subject and name names.

Pastor Joel responded only after all of these things that already taken place.

It was Pastor Joel’s other church member who recorded it. Joel did not know it was recorded. But thank God it was so that these false allegations can be proven wrong.

Chocolate Knox is exactly right. We dont need to know about this. This could have been handled in such a way that brothers should be dealt with while holding in place their honor in so far as we can, both to the glory of God, the good of the church, and this brother undergoing potential discipline himself. Now, we have pastors potentially modeling the very discord that we should mourn in our churches. These pastors need to take care least this back in forth turn to a great deal of sin in their own hearts. We do not want to see Christ dishonored. Tobias was naming names on Iron Sharpens Iron 9/14, waaay before the meeting. Why are we skipping the details of how and when all of this took place?

Pastor Tobias was unfortunately caught in lies, he needs to apologize. The rest that partook should also apologize. This was gossip. And when Tobias was caught, you guys are blaming the person who recorded it, which was not Joel. But thank goodness for the recording, it vindicated Joel.

As someone who has learned so much from all of you, including Pastor White, Durbin, Joel, this whole situation is absolutely sad! I hope at some point everyone who slandered Pastor Joel will make a public apology. The gossip that Dr. White and Durbin so wholeheartedly preached about, they now contributed it towards Joel. So sad. No ethinc group or religion is untouchable if they dont know or reject Christ. Jews are not above reproach, and this does not make me antisemetic. This clearly soubds like the forced mantra of black lives matters, we know they do, just like everyone else's life matters. No Tobias spread the gossip, end of story, stop making excuses for Tobias, you are discrediting yourselves. This should have remained private and the fact is that Tobias, White abd Wilson made it public, as evidence.
