In this video, Jeff Durbin and Luke Pierson of Apologia Christian Ministries were filming for an upcoming documentary currently in production on Christian/Atheist dialogue. Jeff Durbin debates a man who was the vice-president of the Atheist society at Cornell University. The encounter was filmed at the Reason Rally in Washington, D.C..

Jeff presses the Atheist on the implications of his worldview and the Atheist admits that he has no ultimate justification for uniformity in nature, logic or morality.

This reminds me of what God says "in their 'wisdom' they will become fools"

THAT is how you're supposed to talk to people you disagree with. Good job on both sides.

I appreciate that this young man was thoughtful and was actually willing to have a discussion, instead of screaming and spewing insults! That's such a rare thing.

I thought this was great. I hope wherever he is now, that he is still thinking about these things.

I actually like how well the kid responded - he did so without anger or frustration, he answered Jeff's questions sincerely and accurately according to his beliefs.. I like that they were able to have this discussion civilly.

Jeff, God has blessed you with such intelligence and a sense of calm demeanor in conversing that it absolutely blows me away. I hope you always see how blessed you are.

It's amazing how passionate a bunch of molecules and atoms bouncing around can get.

So, there's no reason for reason at the reason conference.... that's reasonable?

The more logical I am, the less atheistic I become.

Christian:"So you can't have certainty?"
Atheist: " That's correct"
Christian: "Are you certain about that?"
Atheist: "Umm.. that's an interesting point"

Atheism is intellectual suicide, shows what happens when you don't start with God. This Atheist is a nice and friendly one which is rare among Atheists. But he knows God exists, he doesn't live without certainty, but he does, living with a Christian worldview and self refuting his own worldview.

This sounded like a really intelligent conversation. I wish I understood it.

This is how grown ups are supposed to speak to one another in spite of differences

This is a really smart kid. I love listening to conversations like these, where both parties are so educated and have given such deep thought to their positions.

I don't have enough faith to be an atheist.

This preacher asks questions but doesn't let the guy finish answering. He really doesn't want an answer he just wants to set up strawmans.

It's takes more faith to be an atheist than it does to simply believing in a creator
