You hit the nail on the head. I'm suffering from paralysis of analysis. My primary use case is as a language learner. I need to be able to write/draw Japanese characters, and then forward my work. Note Air 2 Plus looks like a good recommendation. I have the Scribe pre-ordered, but I'm thinking, like you, it may fall short on the writing and communication areas. Thanks for your decision-making help. My only wish is to have a device like the Note Air, but with a camera...

Great video, your final point is spot on. I went with the note air 2 as a planner and tool for work. Wasn't sure which to get as was worried about regretting it. Now I have it, it's fantastic and I don't regret it one bit. Your review videos really helped. Thank you.

I spent weeks trying to decide!! And this is the best summary EVER. I finally went with the NA2+ and really happy with it. I do miss the writting feeling of the SN that I returned because of the lack of backlight. But everything else is excellent 😃

With some exaggeration, I'm in agony to choose. Kit is absolutely right about the primary (or most exclusive) purpose of use. And I think, this might be the key point for everyone looking for a device: as long as you can precisely define the main purpose (80%), you can easily find the "best" for you. And don't forget: these are mostly substitutes for paper and pen, not a tablet, so backlight shouldn't be a selection criterion.
As always, the best choice is what you'll utlize.

Thank you. This is an excellent short video with your recommendations (and I appreciate the amount of effort it takes to get to this point).

I returned my Remarkable 2 because the SuperNote is just better for my use case. The TOC feature is one I use quite a lot. The keywords less so. The most recent OS update was actually quite good.

I'm almost a year into my experiment using a e-ink tablet in place of paper journals (for work). I quite like that I have all of my notebooks with me whenever I want.

The SN lacks any kind of screen illumination and that is sometimes an issue for me. I have a clip on light, but don't like the glare when it's clipped at the top of the SN. A good sidelight might be an excellent upgrade for the next instance of the SN.

The Boox Note Air 2 (plus) might take me in the direction I see myself going. I think the Tab Ultra is too much like a computer and I have plenty of those.

Again, this is for my use case -- reading for learning and work notes.

Thank you so much. You are right, I am pulling my hair out trying to figure it out. I am an artist and a writer, I purchased the RM2, but I am returning it, as I wanted to write with it and hope to integrate with Word. So, now I have purchased a Super Note, I hope I did not make a mistake.

Thank you so much for this video. I too am a writer BUT I started my journey looking for a reading device. I read and annotate and tab my books a lot but often turn to my phone to look things up which becomes a huge distraction. I figured a kindle would be good, so I got a paper white just for the dictionary feature.

Fast forward a few days and excuses later, I got the scribe and am confident that it is excellent for reading, but am getting greedy and thinking about a good writing device now too…I want the Scribe AND the Supernote. Too bad my laptop just broke and I have to replace that as well 😅

The problem with the Supernote here in the UK is that there is no direct supplier. So it ends up costing twice as much as the others when you factor in shipping and taxes.

Awesome video. Quick, to point and balanced - but also gives one the confidence all these devices are solid. Thanks mate

I'm looking for a tablet with no app store for better focus. Writing, note-taking, to-do lists, and calendar are what's important for me. Does the Remarkable make all these things easy, and does the Supernote do them better, better enough to buy it instead of the Remarkable? Being able to re-sort what I already have is important

I think you could argue that, at least for some people, the Supernote is the ideal choice for productivity.

*Because* it lacks so many of the extra bells and whistles the Boox has, it makes it far easier to stay focused.

Sometimes less is more, and I think the Supernote really exemplifies that when it comes to productivity.

Going to go with the Supernote. Can't get it at the moment but I will be next month. I have been writing a book for ages and I have been printing it out and edit it by hand and write notes on it and add things.

This has actually become a nightmare in doing this. Ink is expensive. I have like three drafts prints out and it's become quite disorganized. I will primary still type it out on my MacBook but I can't stand editing on the bright screen. I miss things constantly when rereading it.

Not only that I have a notebook for my budget. I have a notebook for my planner. I have notes written down and I just loose them. I'm have notebooks for helping me with my book. It's become too much in so many places. I can't wait to get this writer. I hope it will help me get organized and focused again.

I bought Max Lumi when it came out but honestly after every update I struggle to figure out where previous tools and features I used to use are located. Turned me off to Boox devices. Plus the fact that there's a new Boox device every 6 months.

Between Voja and your videos I ordered a Supernote A5X with the premium accessories. It comes in 2 days and I'm super excited.

Plus the Max Lumi was too large for my current needs. Honestly thinking of selling it.

My wife and I plan everything with a legal pad. From our daily plans, to our shopping lists, to long term goals and budgets. I'm trying to find out if the there is an e-ink tablet that would allow us to share notes between devices if we purchased two of the same device?
