Don't understand why we pay so much tuition for "review it on your own" type "lectures" in medical school when a youtube video explains it 800 times better with more clarity.

I just got into medical school today. You're gonna be my friend for the rest of the semester especially in Biochem! ❤

This whole Biochemistry playlist is amazing. A great resource for RDN students. I retained more by watching your videos and applying the mnemonics than by reading my textbook. After watching your videos my advanced nutrition notes suddenly made sense. And I passed my final with a high-grade today. Thank you!

For those who would like some details on the formation of chylomicrons:once inside the enterocytes via passive diffusion, lipid components(FAs, Ch and MGs) are transferred to the smooth ER after binding to cytosolic fatty acid-binding proteins. There, enzymes catalyse the re-esterification reactions(ACAT for Cholesterol, MGAT for MGs etc). Then the esterified lipid components are packaged into chylomicrons with the help of Microsomal Triglyceride Transfer Protein(MTP) which stabilises the hydrophobic center and ApoB-48 which stabilises the the lipid monolayer surface.Further processing occurs in the Golgi Apparatus, before the newly formed chylomicron exits the basolateral membrane and enters the lymphatic system.

Your dirty lectures are understandable and easier to memorise than school lectures. That is undeniably true.

ILY DirtyMedicine!! As a student who's even struggling just to pass step 1, your videos have been such a lifesaver in teaching me foundational concepts I didn't have/forgot...fingers crossed I get to that pass, but I can't thank you enough. I don't know what I'd do w/o your videos

Omg, this was a fantastic way to break it down. And the mnemonics for lipid transports are way too good. I've written all of them down on my First Aid.
