I love these two guys. They put everything in their recipe book and at the same time they thought of those who don't want to buy their book but want to try the recipes, so they created a website where all of the contents of their recipe book are in it. It shows that they really intend to share their love for plant-based foods to the world.

I have just made these steaks. I cooked 2 in water and steamed 2 for 20 minutes. I then did the taste the steamed gave a firmer texture on the outside which I preferred. Both delicious. The sauce is a great but I added a little soya cream to it. Loved it.

I have found that steaming them for about 40 mins will give them a better teaxture than simmering them.

I have made seitan previously, with chickpea flour, and it was blunt in taste, and very hard in texture.
When i saw this recipe, i thought i should give this a go, since it happened that i had all the ingredients, for the seitan, marinade and the sauce.
The result was extraordinary. So juicy, tender and flavorful.Seriously delicious.And it didn't give me the fakeness i was getting from seitan, as i made it previously.
Now i am making them once a week.Will definitely make them for my meat eaters friends also and my parents.Can't wait to grill them also.

Just one question you guys. At which point can/should we store them in our freezer.I am pretty sure i must have steamed them first.
But should i freeze them before the marinade, after the marinade, after even cooking them?
I want to make them in bulk so i always have them handy when i haven't cooked anything.
An answer to this would really help me organize my kitchen and time better.

Finally got to making this, I had tried some products with seitan, but I did not expect it to be this good. Having exact instructions from a book probably helped, too :) So atm this is my #1 vegan steak, the one Happy Pear did on your channel a while ago is #2. Ireland, zero points :p Just kidding :D

I made this a while back and it was great. I just didn’t care for the sauce on top, I may have used too much of the caper liquid. I’m going to make this again, but using a dark gravy or a vegan A1 sauce. You guys are great.

I waited the following day for the seitan to settle then I cooked it today I can tell the taste is so good

I tried the recipe tonight, it was my first seitan and it turned out amazing!! It has kind of an elastic texture so I'm not sure if I did it right? (Since I have no idea how it's supposed to taste)
