I have a 2019 Kia Forte LXS and the Sport Mode absolutely does make a difference. Improved throttle response, tighter steering, higher revs before shifting, and better all around handling at higher speeds. So something ain’t right with your stuff. And no it’s not placebo. It’s a night and day difference between normal or smart and sport.

Off the line, sport mode make a huge difference. Immediate response. Normal mode off the line is a gradual take off. Which improves mpg. Sport mode for city driving and normal or smart for highway.

I have one as well. Wife got a flat. No spare, and was upset. However when I checked on the spare tire kit. 300 bucks. However I got a full size from discount and a jack in a case, with tire iron for about 220 total. Full size tire will fit if take out insert no issues. Better tire, better deal. Only have jack in trunk. But too me safer than the scissor style jack.

I bought a brand new 2018 Forte a couple of years ago and traded it off an a 2021. So far both cars had no issues. It's weird what you say about Sport Mode. In my 2021 Forte FE it changes its suspension and horse power and is very noticeable. I live in Kentucky with a lot of back country roads and my favorite thing it to hit Sport Mode and feel it tighten up and increase power. The only issue I have is with Android Auto doesn't answer me at time when using the hands free button on the steering wheel.

Maybe the suspension problem you're having is affecting Sport mode, etc.

I recently bought a 2021 forte fe with 6 speed. For the base trim it has a lot of features that other base trim cars are missing.

Yeah it’s stupid that none of these manufacturers include a spare tire anymore. I agree with you on that.

Just purchased a Kia Forte EX and there's no spare either. To save more weight.
Was surprised when I discovered this!
But 99% of the time if a tire has a leak it's a nail and I carry a pump with me. The air from a nail never goes out fast all at once.

i was genuinely shocked when i saw mine didn’t have a trunk button ON the trunk or a spare tire. completely caught me off guard and thought it was stupid but other than that absolutely no complaints.

I bought a 2020 Forte GT Line 6 months ago and I bought a full size spare on the oem wheel that matches the other 4 on eBay foe $150 and a matching tire for $75.
My main gripe is when you turn off the engine the fresh and recycle air door opens by default and allows mice to get in the car, I caught 2 already! Today I called the Kia factory in Georgia to see if the engineers can provide a software patch or update to make it close when turning off the engine and open at the starting. They opened a ticket and hopefully get a call back!

🤔I think the lack of a spare tire is odd. I know 4 a FACT, that the Forte "GT" comes with a spare. Maybe it's a price point thing.

I heard a lot of complaints about Hyundai/KIA not honoring their warranties if something is wrong. They play it off like it's normal or your hearing things. So much for for their elustrous warranty they brag about. Something to think about before buying these cars.

I have this car and the sport mode definitely does something… the rpm increases which you can see right away so if you don’t see that you should probably talk to the dealer about that.

No spare is a big deal. 2 Kia’s and both had flats.
Sport mode uses more gas. Not sure what else.

I bought a 2009 Hyundai Sonata new off the lot and still own it now in 2021, It has been a solid dependable car except for a few glitches like sometimes the radio will turn on by itself or the trunk release unlocks the trunk while driving, shorty after owning it the right rear brake would get hot from the brake shoes not releasing due to the caliper, I took it back for warranty work, They said, Oh yeah, we got a service bulletin on that ! They only sprayed some lubricant on the caliper piston saying it was only a little bit of rust and the spray lube will fix it, I do a little work on cars myself and thought that was no way to fix something because once water and road grime gets up there it will wear that thin application of oil lube away, Sure enough a few weeks later that caliper was squealing again, I took it back and again they said all it needed was more lube, I said Bull Shit ! that caliper is defective, replace it! They gave me a line of crap about how it isn't defective but a wear and tear item, I said not when the car is less than a year old, Then tried to offer me a deal, they will give me the new part, all I had to do was pay for labor,
then quoted me a ridiculous amount of money for a simple job, I said Forget it, and replaced it myself at home, and have never been back to that dealer since 2010.

Kia/ Hyundai are great until you try to deal with any problems under warranty and then they are a nightmare!
