Fabric types absolutely matter. For sweaty gals, polyester and plastic-based fabrics can make you sweat more, so that matters on that side. For clothing longevity, natural fibers are more important. Thanks for digging into that.

What you’re doing with what the dresses are made of is important. ❤ It is duplicitous for a company to say cotton on its website when in reality the dress is 100% polyester. Ethics and sustainability is important in fashion whether everyone cares or not.

Not disclosing the fabric is already very bad since it’s a structural information about the product, but leading the consumer in error by stating the wrong type of fabric is simply illegal in some countries, it’s against consumer’s rights. I work as an apparel product developer - not disclosing the country of where it's made can also be signs of child factory exploitation, underpaid workers and general super shady treatments. So, before people buy, please learn about the company and what they stand for. Thankfully there are laws nowadays, but we still see apparel companies, especially fast fashion, try to go around them.
