MLMs are "person to person" retail business and not a "person to population" distribution that's why 80%-95% of the entry resellers lose money and often goes into debts.

I think most mlm encourage recruitment. As most quickly learn profits from the products they sell don't come close to what bringing in another person brings.
I really hate to hear someone that's really exciting about getting a new job and then learning that job is something like amway. I'll try to discourage them but most are filled to the brim with excitement. They've been promised ridiculous earning potential but don't realize that earning is the top 1%. If I can't discourage them, I try to tell them to pick an amount they find acceptable to lose and if they lose that much find new employment.
These companies exploit you to the maximum. You have to pay for the goods to sell, find people to buy them or recruit people which usually has a fee. No real job requires you to pay to earn money.
I despise mlm's. They prey on the most desperate of people who are already in need of money and find employment opportunities elsewhere rare. They trap them, exploit them and once they no longer have value are just discarded.
I know there are people who can make these systems work. I have a friend who sells amway but it's not his primary source of income. It can be a good side hustle but only if you're a natural salesman. They don't train you or help you, so either it's a fit or not.
