if outline didn’t work for you, i’d try out one of her earlier works! she only gets more detached and distant after outline hahaha. my recommendations would be arlington park if you’re looking for fiction, a life’s work if you’re feeling nonfiction. so cool to hear about what’s in your school’s curriculum, and so happy to see a video from you!!

Export paperbacks that come out with the hardback release are hardback size so if you bought that in Paris that’s probably why. UK standard paperbacks are smaller than US ones!

I also find it weird when men write a whole narrative about women and you can really tell sometimes from the way the interactions feel "fake" or "forced" i try not to read too much fiction about women written by men because it just feels weird, especially if it's from a woman's perspective or about a woman's problems/experiences 5:12

Agree on Outline by Rachel Cusk being overrated. I would totally recommend another book of hers : Coventry
