Merthyr is only bad because of what happened in the past in having a huge crime rate and terrible living conditions due to overcrowding and a lack of police force because everyone was looking for a job since Merthyr was famous for its iron industry, also leaving all that behind making it a not very nice place to live in the contemporary UK.

i live in merthyr myself. i've lived here my entire life and i'm honestly just used to it. to me, it's not as bad as some people make it out to be; i think just the worst part about living here is the amount of druggies and "rough" people, though, nothing bad has happened to me personally involving them. you just have to be careful, and even though i've never done it myself, try not to stay out late at night by yourself. i know people who have had/narrowly escaped bad situations during night, so that's not exactly fun. but other than that, it's not too bad living here, but since i've lived here my entire life, it's mainly just the same routine every day, so more than anything i would say it's a boring town, and it doesn't help that there isn't a whole lot to do, other than the occasional festivals or events that come around. and even then, they tend to be so overcrowded to the point that you can't even move, so there's no point in bothering.

Telford has many parks and almost every time I go to one there are many people there. This may change during different seasons but when it’s warm or snowing many people will be there.
But town centre park is always busy

And where I live there is not a single moody, mean or lifeless person

Telford is Not Ugly, The Southwater is Pretty good now and you also have Telford Park, plus Telford Shopping Centre is great for shopping

Funnily enough Slough is the last place in the UK I would live. I'm surprised Luton and Oldham are not on the list.

As someone who’s lived in Lowestoft for a while ( not living there currently ) Lowestoft is not ugly, if you don’t include the architecture and layout . The only thing really pretty about it is its new bridge and sunrise and landscapes .

As someone who’s only shopped in Telford ONCE and isn’t from Shropshire, the shopping centres are NOT soulless! Far from it!

I live near lowestoft, it is 30% alcohol dependent folk, 50% drug addicts, 10% Romanian, 5% homeless, 5% normal people that just want to live anywhere else.

Slough is 30% Muslim, 10% Hindu, and 8% Buddhist. Meanwhile Lewes is mostly Christian of atheist, with 10% or Lesser being muslim

I live near Slough, in a quite beautiful looking small town, but yea, Slough is a absolute dump, especially the industrial estates and higher street, the only decent thing there is a large Tesco and that is crime ridden

Telford is beautiful. The people are friendly and the whole city is full of greenary.. the roads are beautiful, driving in telford is a bliss. Visit the iron bridge in summer, its beautiful.
