In this video, we will learn about the meteor shower known as the Geminids which occurs for a period of two weeks at the beginning of December. The peak of the shower usually happens on December 13 and 14. We will examine the cause of these meteor showers occur and get practice with identifying the constellation of Gemini since that is the radiant for this meteor shower.

I missed this shower and the conjunction thanks to perpetual cloud cover the last month. Yet, even during non-shower events, especially at sea, I've always been astonished how many meteors one can see during an average night with dark enough skies. Great video yet again.

Now i tried to see it but the sky is cloudy today here in Rio. If it was a couple days ago i would be able to see it. I hope the geminids go on more days.

Bad luck for me.. Its cloudy here for the last three days and I fear that I may not be able to see the Great Conjunction too😔😔😔
