Today I install an LED mirror in the master bathroom at the spec house. We also wire in a recessed outlet for a better fit.

This video should be called how to hang LED mirror because the installation includes hard wiring the mirror into the box. for those who came here to look how to hardwire the mirror: simply remove the light fixture, (which you will not going to need if you have a self lighting mirror) and install the mirror wiring it into the box where the light fixture used to be hardwired. Don't need to call an electrician and most definitely don't need to have a light fixture on top of the mirror, that's an absolute redundancy and I don't even think it looks good. So again, if you have a light fixture, remove it and hang your mirror after you hardwire it into the box that is now empty, because you removed the light fixture. I hope this clarifies it for some people. Also if The mirror comes with a plug instead of a wire, just cut the plug and strip the wire which will make it ready to install hard wiring it into the box

Thanks so much for making this video! I have a mirror very similar. I ordered it from Amazon 3 weeks ago. I know how to hang a bathroom sconce light and was worried this light was going to be very different from that. Yes, I am a very basic DIY homeowner. Also, several years older than the people who already knew you can learn anything from YouTube! It does take someone who teaches skills well! That is much more difficult than all the rest! You gave great, easy to understand and practical directions along with showing the work!

Jason, I so enjoyed this video. You made the install look easy. I just purchased 3 LED anti-fog mirrors for our home thanks to your tutelage. Ours will have an arched shaped top, princess style bottom and will hang in a row above a sink, make-up vanity and 2nd sink primary bath combo. I haven't yet decided if I'll add vanity light fixtures above, in between or none at all. Thanks again.

Nice mirror, it would be nicer if they could change their settings button to the bottom-left or right. Also, I don´t understand why these power plugs never comes in a 90 degree connector.

Better check electrical codes. GFCI needed when by water. Also GFCI hidden by mirror may be illegal. It has to be available for reset. May have to be hardwired.

Are we able to use our regular bathroom outlet if it’s close enough? Do we have to buy a separate outlet plug? I have the bathroom lights that are in a row of 3 with the mirror below it
