What If R2-D2 SAVED Anakin Skywalker on Mustafar

R2-D2 was told to remain at the ship, when Anakin left, eventually resulting in his fight with Obi Wan. What If R2-D2 Saved Anakin on Mustafar? Would R2 be able to get Anakin away from the planet? Would Anakin lose strength due to a lack of a need for the dark side? How would Anakin react to seeing his friend staying by his side? Would R2 saving Anakin lead to his turn to the light, or cementing himself in the dark?

I love how R2 was so sweet and so wholesome at the start of the story and then near the end he just HAD ENOUGH

I appreciate how R2-D2's portrayal allowed Anakin to absorb Vader, rather than simply flipping a switch. It seemed as though Vader, who had once consumed Anakin, was in turn absorbed by him, bringing balance through metamorphosis and genuine transformation. This act of self-liberation also freed others, culminating Anakin's lifelong struggle against the bondage that had ensnared him since childhood, not as a boy, nor as a Jedi, nor as a Sith, but simply as Anakin Skywalker.
