As a sound guy, I can't tell you how amazing it feels to roll up to a show and the band just sends you tails and they're running their own IEMs. No stage monitor noise, and no worrying about monitors, which means I get to put 100% of my energy into how you actually sound. It's absolutely amazing. So, on behalf of all sound guys, thank you

This is so well thought and professional. It really does make a difference when doing a live gig and it makes it easier for the sound engineer and for you.

Can you tell more about drum mics, you just mic the kit and then split the signal to FOH? so you take your own clamps and mic stands or what? or you take your drumkit+cage+mics. Do you use poweramps and cabinets as backup or just to feel the air moving? also do you use any midi footswitch to start\stop or anything else?

Hey! Thank you for sharing it has a great content! I really would like to know more and an in-depth analysis would be great about the guitar setup particularly using the plug-in through DAW and I/O details, including the DAW project setup for the entire live show 😀

Great video! one question: With this splitter if you are sending phantom power to a mic the other console (foh or monitor) doesn’t need to send 48v too right? just one end needs to turn the phantom ? thanks!

Pretty slick! Love bands that keep stage noise down with IEM setups. As a sound engineer myself, makes my job easier!

For the backing tracks, are you sending a stereo bounce or are you sending multiple tracks to FOH?

Does this get a little much if you are an opening band and the other bands have the same if not similar set up? Front of house would have to unplug and plug all mics and into each bands splitter snake for each set. Have you guys gotten complaints about that?

Thanks for this. Confused about the focusrite though…. Doesn’t the x32 act as a usb interface? So your clicks or guitar tracks could be a “channel” in the x32?

Hey man, I'm a little stumped; how does the Focusrite communicate to the X32? Do you have a wiring diagram? It was really hard to see some parts of the back in the vid. Appreciate the help!

I see that you are connecting drum over head mics to the IEM. If they are condensers that need 48v, do you simply turn on the phantom power in the x32? Our you use phantom before it go to the splitter? I always think that both front house and in ear mixer with phantom power on not gonna work...

These guys are so entertaining, all around. Between this and watching Mikey cut mozzarella cheese like a murderer, this week has been pretty enjoyable.

Are you bouncing your tracks to a L and R or are you running more outputs than that for your tracks alone?

You guys sounded fuckin great live too, it definitely pays off.

I’m a bit confused. The splitter doesn’t supply any sort of phantom power right? So how do any of the drum mics or other vocal mics work? Just curious since we were looking to get this splitter for our rack system. Thanks in advance!

This setup is clean! When do we get to see the guitar routing?

I have recently set up a pretty similar rig, but I'm using the X32R's USB card instead of an additional audio interface. I previously had a separate interface, but now I don't need to. You can just route the card in your DAW to feed multiple tracks to the X32. You do need to use some of the outputs on the X32 to feed the splitter for the FOH, but I can get away with using the Aux outs for that, while still having 5 stereo IEM mixes.

Hey man. Do you have any latency issues? As you're using the Macbook for guitars & tracks
