The most likely scenario is that the defendant was arguing with the boyfriend and his female family members "defended" him. Defendant's mom got word of what happened and they vandalized the plaintiff's car. Both sides engaged in senseless behavior, therefore everybody lost. The people of this world desperately need to gain control over their emotions.

Some things I've learned from his show and actual court cases, contract everything, document everything, don't pick fights but walk away from them, call police if you got injured by someone, make sure you have everything to support your claim before you sue someone, and be sharp minded all times.

At first I'm thinking she's rewarding them for vandalism but actually the plaintiff won the case but lost 5, 000 to the defendant for assault. Very clever.

Mom is nodding yes while the daughter is nodding no. "I know you vandalized her car." Mom is like, damn right we did. I admit it. That's the way you own up to your actions. She just wanted justice for her daughter as well.

That ending was fantastic. There was no way she was going to reward either party for their bad behaviour so the best way to do it was to award them equal amounts to cancel the other one out.
