A light coating of Vaseline on the edges of the mask will make a huge difference with the seal. Better yet get a full face or half mask made of silicone with the proper filters. NIOSH n95.

It's more important to know how to take off the masks without contaminating your hands

I only wear N95 for anything grocery shopping going into malls etc travel anything else isn’t safe. I also wear P100 mask too for additional protection if necessary.

Breathing vapors in is more likely then them hitting your eyes. I wear my n95 with goggles and gloves
