How To Level Your Lawn With Sand

I finally did it! I ordered 9 tons of USGA grade sand to level my lawn with a DIY leveling drag, a leveling rake, and a brush. I needed to made my Kentucky bluegrass lawn level so that I can use my reel mower to throw down stripes and create a uniform look. Putting sand on your lawn is easy but takes a bit of elbow grease. Any can topdress their lawn with sand if they want too.

This video has motivated me to get off this damn couch and go out and spot level some areas in my front yard today. I'm going to sift some soil and mix in some sand. Maybe I will grow a set and try full sand next year. Thanks for motivating me. Very interested how the lawn recovers.

You gotta rent that machine that Conner gets now. Would make it way easier, at least it looks that way from his video. I am super interested in a heavy overseeding of my yard this fall with 365SS KBG. It is SOOO expensive though at $410/50lb bag. I have over 20K sqft. I really want to see what this lawn looks like now. Been waiting for a new upload for quite some time. Thanks for posting your videos here, it looks great so far from what I can see, nice work!

Really liked your video. I live in NW Indiana and sandy soil. New lawn as of last year and need to get level. I use a toro zero turn. What did you use behind your zero turn to level? It almost looks like a wood pallet?

Hey Matt - I like you. I've got heavy clay soil and the worst thing I could do to it would be to add SAND! Just to warn those folks unfortunate like me to have clay soil.
