How to MAKE YOUR LAWN LEVEL and FLAT

Are you tired of having a bumpy uneven lawn?! You can fix it with lawn leveling. In this video, I take you through all the steps you need to get a flat level lawn.

Step 1: Mow your grass as low as you can get it so the sand and soil can easily work their way down to the soil level.

Step 2. Aerate your lawn for the best leveling results.

Step 3: Feed your lawn to allow it to grow through the leveling mix and thrive again.

Step 4: Level your lawn by covering it with sand, soil, or a combination of both.

Step 5: Seed any areas where the leveling is deeper than 1/2 inch.

I am fortunate enough that the sod farm where I got my sod sells a divot mix of sand/peatmoss in my case was an 80/20 mix in a super sack delivered. Great video Kyle.

I just finish leveling the front of my lawn with a sand and compose mix. And just like you mentioned I also had deep dips in my lawn that needed more of the mix and had to plant Bermuda seed down so now I’m waiting for everything to grow. I hope it was worth it!

Man, a company delivered sand to me once when I wasn't home... Their pea gravel pit was next to the sand. I spent hours picking gravel out of that sand

I cut my grass once a week. Should I keep the same schedule after leveling?

I have zoysia. zoysia is not available in seed. you can go much deeper with sand topcoat than 1/2-in with zoysia. zoysia sends rhizomes through the sand. zoysia covers bare sand spots within one growing season with ample watering.
