Jeremy Pascal was skiing with friends in Lake Tahoe when he decided to show off his backflip skills in fresh powder. At first, his buddies were impressed. But when Pascal didn’t reemerge, panic set in. Video of the incident shows people shouting “He’s buried! He’s buried.” Pascal’s friend Josh Gold knew the race was on to rescue him. Gold used his arms to try to dig out Pascal from the snow, knowing he didn’t have much time.

I can't imagine being buried in snow. I'd probably die from a panic attack before I suffocated.

I don’t know much about the dynamic of different snow types and ski-ing but I do know that his trick was sick, he has amazing friends, and I am happy that he lives now into 2022. Also love inside edition! Your reports help distract me when I’m stressed and I show some of my prekindergarten students some of the videos. They went banana over the doggy pool party! Thank you so much for everything you’ve done to get the news out this year. Remember to relax though too. We don’t want Lisa or any of our other TV buddies to overwork themselves. Sending love from Missouri!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!🎆🎊🎈

My anxiety went up as this happened to me as a kid. It is super scary since you can't really move or breath.

This is normal for Tahoe kids. I jumped off a second story balcony into 6ft+ of snow when I was 9. Snow with honey as a snack too!

I've been in a situation like this and I will say it is insanely scary he did a great job of keeping his composure and props to the friends for realizing he was in need of a solid dig out!
