Tip 1 - You improved use of Noise Reduction/Restoration to the point where my results had improved and I was happy to publish.
Tip 2 - You validated my opinion of DeNoise.
Tip 3 - You blew my mind and transformed how I'll edit audio from this moment on.

All of that, and I haven't even finished watching. Seriously. There's still 50s left until the end of the video.

Excellent content. No gatekeeping knowledge, no boring and unnecessary introduction. This should be the standard for all instructional content going forward.

Subscribed and notified. I'm going to finish this edit, then spend the rest of the day watching your content. Thanks Mike. Genuinely appreciate the assist.

this is what every video on YouTube should be like. Short, simple and straight to the point.

I usually try all three, then use the process that gives me the best results. It's usually a combo of DeNoise and a gate.

Love the quick tips. Straight to the point and multiple ways to tackle the issue.

My client kept claiming background noise and "over breathing" despite my soundtreated room and general mad skills.
Whacked it through the Dynamics effect (which I'd never used before) and now they're happy as Larry.
Thank you Mike, you're a life saver.

Hi Mike. Another great video. I pretty much always head straight for option 3 and the noise gate, also cranking up the hold to stop words being clipped. Seems to work for larger projects such as our podcasts and makes the workflow easier. Sometimes analysing the whole recording first of all to get a cut off level to start at. Love your videos and have pretty much learnt all about Audition through your videos.

i have a very different trick for this.... DJ software such as virtual dj and serato, now have voice isolation filters using AI which is trained to identify human voice. the tech has come a LONG way now, and its almost perfect. it also can be used for instruments, bass and percussion, but for videography we usually just need the voice. so you can put the audio in there, and remove everything except the human voice, and then record that as a new file and then mix it with some of the original noisy file if you want. only issue it has is that if the background noise is due to people talking, then it will also keep those bakground voices too. i dont think adobe have anything like this yet.. but this is where its headed i believe, and this will be a much handier way to do it than the 3 ways mentioned in the video here.

Thank you sooo much! I struggled with the DeNoise effect in Premiere Pro and tried various other effects to fix the voice, but it never came out right.
The Noise Reduction effect in Audition fixed the entire sound in a few seconds.

I thought it was a lot more complicated and that I would need to adjust various values, but Audition is really great for sound.

Once again, I was convinced of the truth of the sentence that every Adobe tool should be used for its intended purpose.

Hi Mike, great video as usual. I use all three methods described in the video depending on the state of the audio that needs fixing.

Hi Ive been listening to your Adobe Audition tutorials and they are very helpful! My one suggestion would be to go just a bit slower especially when clicking thru procedure on Adobe itself. Thanks again

Have you tried the newest plugins that use AI for noise reduction like UAD C-vox and Waves Clarity? It would be nice if you could show the community those tools as well. Thanks for your videos, keep the good job.

Thanks! Short and great. In Audacity I couldn't remove the noise without damaging the quality.
