Updates on my dying bonsai - is there a future?

So who wants to know how those ‘dying’ bonsai are getting on now? Three of my oldest trees struggled to survive the unusual summer heatwave – are they still with me? Please watch and let me know if you have any ideas for the future of my: Silver Birch, Chinese Elm & Corkbark Elm Bonsai…

I also update you on the state of my recovering Jades and Portucularis after that heavy pruning they received earlier in the year!

I think the elm will actually come out better in the end as the taper will improve when you chop back the trunk. Glad to see nature finding a way to surprise and thrive! 🐦💙

Thanks for the updates Xav. Do you have any idea what caused the dead branches on your large Elm as all the new growth looks really healthy. Could it have been root problems or have you had a bug invasion? 👍👍

Must be gutting when you lose branches like that and not just the odd one..but I suppose it just means taking the tree in a new direction
