DNA is source code so it creates reflex to train the consciousness. Think like this first childs breath out of reflex but later we can control it actively. So by increasing consciousness you take more control of your body actively. That is why child development is important as it basics of adult consciousness.

Well a baby has survived from just under a 22 week pregnancy so biologically it's possible at

It has the potential for consciousness before half way at least,

My niece was premature and she was around 6 inches from head to toe.

My earliest memories are from the womb. I recall it being comfortable and cozy. Birth is quite traumatic for the young soul.

Brain waves don't start until 6 weeks of gestation or about 8 weeks of pregnancy.

Well, the fetus maybe sedated but that doesn’t mean It doesn’t experience consciousness.
