His last point was the most salient. Nobody “picks”, or dodges depending on your view, more fights than Jon.

DC shorter and fought at heavyweight same with Mike Tyson, short guys always fighting people who are bigger and taller and that's everyday life even in pick up basketball and football we always smaller or shorter so we used to it, taller guys not used to that or comfortable with that sometimes but we have no choice lol no matter what sport or weight class it doesn't matter

Seriously my biggest issue is 90% of their fight cards are grapplers vs strikers, sonetimes i wanna see two strikers or two grapplers go at it. Stylistically only hinders you if you cant adapt, fighting is adapting to your foe to overcome them

This guy always had MASSIVE size advantages over the people he fought below HW. There was no one who was really, really good at HW for him to fight. It's a shame. How can you test yourself if you're not challenging yourself. He needed a prime Fedor to have to take on.

Yes. Jon only picks fights against people who can’t wrestle or defend his wrestling. Thats why he ducked Francis and is ducking Aspinal. Now that Alex lost he can’t keep challenging him

So one of the best fighters to ever do it just openly said that it's very dangerous to fight a bigger guy, so much for 'technique is everything'.

Jon uses Duck Duck go as a search engine

He's choice he's comfort. I wouldn't want to battle a 300lb if I was 230-40 either. But he's been a heavyweight fighting as a light HW. He cuts 25+ lbs regularly.

He is a smart man who checks his ego at the door.
Do not be stupid and force a weight that your body won’t carry.
You have a family and you are a champion and leader-f those who sit on the sidelines instigating.

Well doesn’t matter when they can’t see from the eye pokes!! Or the kicks to the knee caps

Crazy how many ppl talking down on a man with one loss. Wont excuse the peds cannot deny skill. He has the right to pick n choose thats what happens when you reach the top. Not everyone is worth your time. It would be different if they had a schedule to work but its all about who will take the challenge

Back then he was right tbf he weighed significantly less than all of them

All heavyweights stay too long. Jones is already starting to look a bit out of shape, and at some point what happened to every other guy will happen to him.

He is 100% correct

Going from 205 to 265 is the largest jump in the entire sport, Jon is fighting men who are naturally 25lb-35lb bigger.

People follow narratives so it’s cool to bash him, but he is 100% right and it’s a great achievement in itself to even be able to compete at HW.

Stylistic match up
Can't complain about eye pokes and can't strike or wrestle or kick
Perfect style for foat
