Im in my mid forties and just had my first baby 2 years ago. Struggled to lose weight because I was always hungry ( still breastfeeding my bub ), had low energy from lack of sleep which made exercising more challenging than usual.
I tried cutting down carbs and loss a few pounds. I then started doing Kettlebell swings every other day. My weight remained steady which was good i guess but i still didnt like the way I looked. Still had excess fat on my tummy, thighs and arms.
I finally tried intermittent fast, eating more protein, good fats, avoiding 'bad oils' and most processed carbs.
Happy to report that I am finally losing the pregnancy weight and I am fitting into many of my pre pregnancy clothes. Im trying to move more and start doing weights again. IF has certainly given me the kickstart I needed. Im also more mindful of what I eat, focusing on eating food that nourishes my body. I dont have anymore cravings. I now focus on getting enough protein a day to counter muscle loss as I age. Limiting my eating window is actually liberating for me as I can do other things not related to prepping food and eating. IF, eating healthy and lifting weights IMO is very doable and sustainable.
Im finally having a flat tummy which have eluded me for many years. This is also a great motivational factor for me to keep going ❤.
