It's sad, but this actually happens among teachers. Tried to each lunch in the lounge with the rest of my department my literal first day teaching. The "Queen Bee" teacher decided to take a picture of me while i was eating my sandwich. I'm a pretty big guy, and it was not a very flattering picture. She captioned it with "My view while trying to enjoy lunch." She sent it out to her group of teacher minions and apparently had a laugh at my expense.

It's okay, though. My administrator got wind of the photo and advised me to file an official HR report. Apparently, this is not the first time this teacher has had issues like this one. She wrote a formal apology, and that was that for a while. Until she opened her mouth again, and it was enough to terminate her contract. Sucks to suck i guess.

I was severely bullied in school and I used to work in a home, people in their 70s and 80s are way more brutal, bigger bullies and everyone is more petty. Literal ‘you can’t sit with us’, name calling, calling each other stupid, ugly and to die soon. It’s petty teenage shit that’s been nurtured for decades and with nothing left to lose 🙃

I think kids might be nicer now than when we were kids. I volunteered with a high school team and there was a kid who was openly gay and all the other kids just treated him like everyone else. And I know that my high school peers would have been TERRIBLE to him.
