SIMPLE SKILLS VOL 1 | How To Weld a Coffee Table

Kicking things off with an intro to welding and furniture design,
the first Simple Skills was sold out before the doors even
opened at the Department of Simple Things in Byron.

Inside, the gang of lucky ticket holders were greeted with cold
beers from Balter, hot salami from Salumi, and all the welding
info they could chew on, thanks to Evan Roberts from Salt x
Steel.

A good tip for welding a square shape is to use clamps. When you get the angles set at 90, clamp the pieces down and you can tack it up and the tubing won't shift due to heat. You'll have perfect 90 degree angles.

I like how it´s shaking on the end when the magazines land. Gives the impression that somthing bent during welding. Probably should have used some C-clamps to clamp it to the table. Start with making the two squares in the end, and then the long pieces in between.
