I'm A Car Dealer Saying DON'T BUY A CAR RIGHT NOW!

In this video, I'm sharing with you my thoughts on the current used car market. Right now, prices are high and it's a bad time to buy a car. Prices will go down in the future, so don't buy a car right now!

If you're looking for a used car, I would advise you to wait until prices go down. It may not be the best time to buy a car, but prices will go down in the future and you'll be able to get a great deal on a used car. I'm a car dealer, so I know what I'm talking about!

My name is Brandon and I am a used car dealer. I created Car Questions Answered to share the ins and outs of the used car market from my perspective. I share with you updates on car prices, what's happening at the dealer auctions, and what it's like being a dealer. My goal is to share information to help you make the best decisions while buying a car to save you money. I do not want car dealers taking advantage of you.

$26K for a 5-6 year old compact CUV with 80, 000 miles on it is still crazy.

When an honest car dealer tells you not to buy, you should listen. Its like a lawyer giving you free legal advice 👍

It's all still 25% or more over valuation so hiking prices 40% then reducing them isn't really a sale.

Serves them right. Don’t buy the discount. Make them feel the pain they inflicted on us.

I understand not wanting to put the bad dealers on blast, but please start shouting out the dealers that are doing good business and not trying to bend their customers over. They deserve a little love.

I've been watching these "Dodge can't sell trucks" and "inventory is up, dealers are freaking out" videos for 3-4 months now and all I see is prices mostly holding while rates keep going up.

While under MSRP sounds great, be careful as lots of manufacturers have jacked up the MSRP in response to seeing all the big 'market adjustments' and wanted their share of the pie. Do your due diligence and comparison shop similar models accross several brands, don't automatically assume under MSRP is a great deal.

I was in the market to buy a car recently, both new and used. I ended up getting to finance on a new car and just walked out once I saw the numbers. I couldn't comprehend paying so much for a damn vehicle. I started watching your videos while I was researching and I really appreciate them. Thank you!

Under MSRP, who cares, when they're 30k more than in 2019. They better drop a hell of a lot more before I entertain the idea of buying....and I can pay cash.

Every time I buy a house or a rental property or a car it’s always at the WORST time. There’s just simply never a good time to buy anything. If the market is good the product is overpriced, if the market is bad the interest rate is too high. My dad told me a long time ago, it does matter when you get in, just get in. I’ve been doing that all my life. And I’m currently sitting here waiting on the arrival of my newest purchase, my AMG GT-R. Just do it whenever you have the means to do it. That’s my advice 👍

I totally agree about prices on the vehicles for sale. For me if there are no prices I just drive away. No prices means that they are so dang high that I do not want to know, or there is going to be a whole lots of game playing if I was stupid enough to inquire about a vehicle with no posted price.. Thanks for the great information Brandon! 👍👍

On the Nissan example, something you didn’t consider is that dealerships just lie about their prices online. They advertise it below MSRP but suddenly there’s a market adjustment when you show up. It’s happening left and right.

It does not matter if they are marked down, or under MSRP. The banks have raised interest rates to 7-8 % for new and 10% for used.

I Really appreciate you telling people to pay cash and not get themselves strung out on vehicle debt.
Great advice. I hope everyone listens, especially young people.

I contacted Longo Toyota and asked if they had any Base model Corolla avail.... They said NO but they could order one. But they could not give me a timeline. This is the Biggest Toyota dealer in the Nation.... They will not sell cars without all the worthless options on them for mark up sake.

Overall used prices went up 50%. Coming down a little is nice, but it's just a start.

Thank you for your honest opinion. Honesty is hard to come by.

Not sure I can trust a dealer telling me any of their cars are on “sale”. They could make up any number and make you think you’re getting a deal. It’s all psychological.
