Subscapularis Muscle Anatomy | Muscle of Scapular Region | Rotator Cuff Muscle | Doctor Speaks
Показать описание
Hi friends and fellows!
Welcome Back!
Continuing our discussion of the Musculature of Scapular Region, in this tutorial, we have tried to elaborate the Anatomy of Subscapularis Muscle. The Subscapularis is a muscle of the Scapular Region and it is one of those four muscles that form the Rotator Cuff. The other three muscles of the Rotator Cuff are the Supraspinatus, Infraspinatus and Teres Minor. So as a part of the rotator cuff, the Subscapularis muscle plays a vital role in providing dynamic stability to the shoulder joint whenever we perform different movements through this joint. The Subscapularis lies deep to the powerful superficial muscles of the shoulder such as the Pectoralis Major and Deltoid Muscles.
So in this tutorial we have worked out to explain the different anatomical features of this muscle such as its origin, its insertion, its nerve supply or innervation, its arterial or vascular supply and the actions performed by this muscle.
Hope this tutorial helps you learn something about anatomy!
Thank You.
