Consultants: You can fix this before it happens.

New York City: Nah, we are good. It's not in the budget.

Imagine being on the train to your destination and you look behind and see a mass of water racing towards the back of the train. Wyd?

I remember 1/2 of our block lost electricity for the week. Sadly, I was part of that 1/2. Very disappointing to live like a Neanderthal while watching the neighbors across the street watch tv at night.

I live in Nassau County and I did not have power for 11 days after Sandy. The LIRR had limited service. The biggest problem out here was the unavailability of gasoline. It was like wartime conditions. Even 5 years later its a grim memory.

Super creepy, you couldn't pay me a million bucks to go down there all alone

Not only will the water be pumped up, but all that litter that was on the track beds and now is swirling around. The middle of those rail tracks shall be very clean...if littering stops.

I lost power for 11 days in Nassau County. Couldn't get any gas either. It was a pretty bad time. My power was restored by a crew from Quebec.

The 1 Train South Ferry 32nd street is a massive station. As it is right now, if it were flooded in its entirety up to the entrance, we're talking like 25-30 feet of water.

*I can just imagine a horrifying sea monster lurking under the shallow surface of the water.*
