We're playing this with my high school full orchestra, and I'm so excited, it's going to sound amazing

I'm 62 and been a Paul McCartney fan all my life. When I heard this version of ER by Cody Fry, (my daughter played it in my car) I was gob-smacked. So many movements and intricate timing variances. I have listened to it soooo many times since now and I am astounded at the capture of the essence of the song, the lonliness, the vanity of faces in a jar by the door, he horn sections, the choral echos near the end of all the lonely souls. I am blown away. If Paul heard this he would also be blown away. Well done Cody and team.

Uh, so, if you could like, do this to every song ever, that would, uh, be really neat, and stuff. Until then I'll just...listen to this on repeat.

I thought this was originally just a mashup that lasted for a few seconds on tiktok, and I just let it play over and over and over with chills. So imagine how floored I was when I found out there was a 5 minute version of one of the most moving, imagination sparking songs I've ever heard in my life. This is greatness

I never really thought Eleanor Rigby could be elevated any higher than it already was as a song. And yet somehow you beat Elon to Mars with this arrangement.

As someone who grew up listening to the Beatles, this song always gave me an eerie feeling and I could paint a picture of the song in my head. Your version just gave me a whole new storyline, just as eerie. Thanks!

You managed to take a song that has had countless renditions and create something new while still paying homage to the original piece. MY MIND IS BLOWN. Thank you for sharing

The “trailer song” potential for this is high.. EXPONENTIALLY high. 🎵🎶

So…
I listened to this and it inspired me to write a movie based on the characters of the original song. Your arrangement brought all the scenes to life. Thank you for adorning the dark of this world with your music.

The feeling described by finding this song is like opening the fridge and actually finding good food in it.

I showed this to my dad who is a musician. He introduced me to this song as a kid which got me into the Beatles. We have played it and listened to it together for years and yet when I showed him this he cried. He never cried to the original (the original is amazing and I'm not saying it's bad) But Cody's ability and talent showed us this song in a completely different light and shows its sadness much more obviously.

In short, this is so beautiful and I cry every time to it.

If this was a sandwich it would be a chicken sandwich. Chicken sandwiches taste good

At 1:00, the fast paced stringed part is so nice, it really gives off an eerie tone, and gives us a nice reminder of what song this is, and the tuba part right after it is very nice.

I can't believe I only discovered this today.

I’m one of those weird people where music can bring me to tears, and I’m literally bawling my eyed out right now. This is absolutely magnificent. Bravo!

If this doesn’t win the Grammy I’ll be shocked. You sir, just took me on a journey. I adore this song and I always have loved covers of it. This wasn’t just a cover. This was a full experience. I’ve played sax for 15 years. I took music theory in high school. I can understand the very basics of composition. That being said you’ve blown everything out of the water. The slow buildup for the ending was haunting and left me begging for more. Not resolving chords and the lack of reverb… my god. Thank you for this.

The fact that every part in the choir was recorded separately. I can't think of a song that embodies the pandemic more.. it makes me tear up remembering that time

I love when you “announce” in the song that Eleanor is dead and the whole music changes, making you realize the whole meaning of the song. Then the ghost choir, which I interpreted it as being to late, missing the small moments in life. And then it’s raising telling you and building the tension, and then it screams, waking you up and telling you what the song is all about.
