Pretty neat trick....not the best for dark backgrounds but it will do, good think about updated browsers is Pop out videos now so i can follow while this would have been pretty useless

Nice tutorial, but it would be nice to make a tutorial which consist selecting hair on messy background and on background which has no contrast against the hair, becouse in 90 % of cases we are struggling with messy background. In that situation your technique doesn't work.
That would be nice tutorial.
Everybody on youtube make tutorials and choose the simplest task with one colored backgroud. That is a simple task and isn't too much useful.
So my suggestion wold be to make a heavy task tutorial, that would help us a lot.

You’re giving us a tutorial on how to cut anything out right? But in the mix of things, you’re using shortcuts to do things some of us are unaware of. Creating a new layer from what options? If someone has to even ask these questions, then the tutorial is rancid.
