Thanks for helping clarify which formula to use. This will be useful in the future as I was confused for a second too on which exactly to use in problems that could use both theoretically.

Hello Professor, thank you for making this video. I remember being confused about when to use formulas for sample size vs population during my first statistics course in high school and while completing the homework earlier this month. Now, however, I understand much better. Furthermore, I think it is essential to read the problem fully, so you can comprehend what the problem gives you to solve for the answer.

This make sense now. I have been confused on which equation I should be using for population vs. sample size. On multiple tries on some homework I have use the wrong equation which kept leading to the wrong answer. Even though in my head I felt like I was doing the problem right since my math was correct. But I just ended up using the wrong equation.
